The Lazy Möwe

Branding | Logo Design | Website Design | Photography | Graphic Design

The Lazy Möwe is a holiday home in Grömitz, on Germany's beautiful Baltic Sea coast, offering guests their own private indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and sauna, just a short walk from the beach.

For this project, I developed the complete visual identity, from designing the logo and creating the website to photographing the property and producing promotional materials.

I wanted the brand to feel fun, welcoming and memorable, with a relaxed seaside personality and a little humour along the way!

Alongside the website and tri-fold brochure, I also created a range of guest information materials, including bilingual pool safety rules, a Wi-Fi sign and a TV channel guide, ensuring a consistent look throughout.

Below, you'll find a selection of my work for The Lazy Möwe.

Logo Design & Branding

I wanted The Lazy Möwe to have a personality of its own, something fun, memorable and a little different from the usual holiday home branding.

The idea was to create a laid-back seagull that perfectly captured the feeling of being on holiday. Using a combination of creative tools, including AI, I developed and refined the logo and its visual identity.

I chose a colour palette of turquoise, warm orange and dark blue to give the brand a fresh, coastal feel, carrying these colours and design elements throughout the website, brochure and other promotional materials.

Website Design & Development

I designed and built the entire website for The Lazy Möwe using Squarespace, with the aim of creating an attractive, easy-to-navigate website that reflects the personality of the brand.

From planning the page layouts and writing the content to selecting photographs, creating graphics and working on search engine optimisation (SEO), I managed the website project from start to finish.

I wanted visitors to get a real feel for the property while making it easy to find important information about the accommodation, its facilities and the surrounding area.

The website also includes a photo gallery and links to our booking partner, allowing guests to explore the property before making a reservation.

Tri-Fold Brochure Design

To complement the website, I designed a six-panel tri-fold brochure showcasing The Lazy Möwe and everything it has to offer.

I wanted the brochure to be informative without being boring, so I combined my property photography with bright colours, playful headlines and a little humour.

The design highlights the holiday home's main features, including its private swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna and proximity to the Baltic Sea.

I also included the website address, contact details and a QR code, making it easy for potential guests to find out more.

The finished brochure brings together the brand's visual identity, photography and personality in a printed format.

Guest Information & Signage

To keep the branding consistent throughout The Lazy Möwe, I also designed a range of practical information signs for our guests.

These include bilingual pool safety rules in German and English, a Wi-Fi information sign with a QR code for easy connection, and a TV channel guide.

I wanted these materials to be clear, easy to follow and visually appealing, while incorporating the same colours, logo and design elements used throughout the website and brochure.

Even the little details matter when it comes to creating a consistent and welcoming experience!

All of the property photographs shown below were taken by me.

My goal was to capture the holiday home's atmosphere while giving potential guests a clear and realistic impression of the accommodation.

From the bright living spaces and bedrooms to the private wellness area, swimming pool and outdoor terrace, I focused on showing the property from different perspectives and highlighting its most appealing features.

The photographs are used throughout the website and promotional materials, helping to create a consistent visual presentation of The Lazy Möwe.
